Socket in March 2005

Aloha and a Happy New Year to you lovely ladies!

We trust summer’s been a mighty fine time and space for you all. We welcome you back to another year of Socket speakers and events, and of course rip-roaring successful business.

Guess what? According to Socket gal pal and Registered Feng Shui Consultant Zoë Vakidis, 2005 is going to be a great year for building a business! It’s the Chinese Year of the Rooster, and Rooster attributes are being organized, perfectionist, decisive and good with money – all valuable traits for business.

Zoë says it’s a good time for resolving issues and sorting things out. She urges us to do this sooner in the year than later, though. “Just go for it! Go all out and get any financial matters sorted and tie up any loose ends of your business”. Zoë can be contacted at lotusblossom@xtra.co.nz.

Our first speaker of the year will be bang on for helping us find a bit of focus:

Debbie Jeffery of Starfish Unlimited will be talking about setting a vision for yourself and taking actions consistent with that vision. A life coach, Debbie is committed to supporting her clients to go beyond what they know of themselves – to live in ‘the stretch’ and experience the satisfaction that brings.

Debbie has worked in communications for 15 years, run her own communications business and been a coach for the past five years. She draws on a wealth of experience having worked across corporate, government, parliamentary and community sectors, including Esso Petroleum (London), Telecom New Zealand, the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand, and Parliament.

Sounds like 2005’s the year to spark some dreams alive…

See you at Socket!
